Metamorphosis 2

I awoke with a start. I felt as if my head was going to explode from the throbbing. There was this ungodly burning sensation throughout my entire body. I thought it was just side effects from being thrown into a wall. I sat there from a while to get my senses about me. I scanned the alley for the girl, but she was nowhere to be found. I got up very slowly thinking my back was sore, bruised, or worse. To my surprise it did not hurt at all. I looked at my watch; it said it was midnight. I decided to just start heading home to my loft because my roommate would be worried sick about me, and I just wanted to go to sleep. I finally got to my building about twenty minutes later, walked up the four flights of stairs, down the hall way, put the key in the lock, but before I could turn it the door flew open. There in the doorway was my roommate. I always told her that she had the most beautiful name, Evelyn. She was looking at me through her curly jet black hair. She had a look of terror on her face. She grabbed my arm and pulled me inside. She was always a little stronger than me, even though I didn't want to admit it. She asked what had happened to me. I brushed her off saying "nothing, I just got held up at work that's all." She would not have believed me even if I left some parts out. She had a very sarcastic reply "then tell me why there is dried blood all over your neck and your jeans are muddy and ripped." I did not know what to say to her, so I ran to the bathroom to see for myself. I saw that one side of my neck and shoulder had a fare amount of dried blood on it. I began to wash off the blood when I realized that my eyes were not there usual muddy green, but a bright red. I started to notice more changes about myself like my body and senses were stronger and sharper. I decided I just needed some sleep, so I finished washing and quickly walked to my room. I avoided eye contact with Evelyn until I got to my room. I shut the door behind me. I began setting my belongings on my desk when I noticed my wallet was in a different pocket than I had put it in. I opened it up expecting my money to be gone, but it wasn’t. Tucked into the bills in my wallet was a piece of cloth with "Katelyn" and "589-4791" written in blood. On the other side it said "call me, please" and "avoid the sun at all costs." I did what it said, I drew the blinds on my window so the sun could not get into my room. I even threw a blanket over the window and I picked up my cell phone and dialed the numbers on the note.
